Was hanging online with some friends watching Lightbox Expo streams so decided to do the equivalent of doodling in 3D. Not sure if he is cute or creepy.

A bit behind but I have a sketchfab
Low Poly Kitchen by Cosche on Sketchfab
Some time ago I decided to put some models up onto Sketchfab. I would like to post more but with a free account my ZBrush models might be a little much.

It's been a while..
I haven't been on this blog in a long time and honestly forgot about it. I just spent like 10 min going through my old list of followed blogs and deleting all of the ones that haven't posted over a year. It was a nice walk down memory lane of some of the artists I used to follow.
In the meanwhile I have been getting better with 3D modeling and even started tackling ZBrush. Here is a sculpt from the Sculpting Miniatures for Production online class I have been taking.

Sometimes I work outside of a computer.
Things have kept me busy over at Spoolishness, but on the non 3d printing side of things I helped out with a cool project over at Washington's Headquarters in Morristown, NJ. Helped with getting a small light rig set up so they could take pictures of some really old Journals. Didn't have the budget for a scanner so had to make due with what we had. All and all it didn't come out too bad.

Spoolishness
It has been a while since I posted last, mostly because I started to really get into 3d printing. I even made a Tumblr with a friend that's just about our adventures with 3d printing. You can check it out Here.

Global Game Jam 2014
This past weekend I decided to join in the Global Game Jam 2014 over at NJIT. It was a fun experience and I had the great opportunity to help create short game with some awesome people.
You can find our Global Game Jam Game site here. If you want to try out the game there should be a link to it at the bottom of the page.

Onward and upward!

FranknSon Trailer
This is actually a little old, I just noticed I had never posted it up. Its the teaser trailer for the FranknSon project I had been helping out on. Some of the scenes in this where animated by yours truly, it was probably the first real professional project I had ever worked on.

Lots of stuff
I was looking for a tutorial to rig something in Maya and stumbled on this site. A lot of nifty video tutorials are posted on this guys site, definitely a link worth saving. (hence the posting of it on this blog, one of the few places where I can't lose it.)

Updates, Updates
Figured I would post an update since it's been a while. I haven't really worked on much outside of work and most of my sketches are getting posted over at the Sketch Saloon so there really hasn't been much to post. But don't take that as I am not keeping busy... on the contrary I am busier then ever and loving it. I am hoping to get back on track with working on some projects soon, especially getting to that long held off project of revamping my website. So if anyone knows any blog style templates or ways of making a blog site besides using Blogger or Wordpress I would love to hear them.
Here's a colored sketch I posted over at the saloon.

Yeah, another post on life...
I know it has been a while since I posted much of anything on here. Not to worry though, this blog has not been forgotten!
The good news is that there are some big changes coming including a new job animating for a nearby company. Ifs nothing quite as showy as animating for TV or advertisements, but at the moment I am not being picky. Hopefully with things finally coming along I can get back on track. The first thing on the agenda is a new website.

New Site
I have been wanting to make a new website, mostly because the site I have now is getting really old and the work on there is very out dated. So I decided to try making a new one out of a blog. Not only would it be a bit cheaper to host (I would only need to pay for the url) it would also be a lot easier to update.
I decided to try wordpress first only because I heard that its one of the better blog sites with lots of customization, but after playing with the blog I would up wanting to smash my head into the desk. It was a really pretty site, but small things kept bothering me especially all of the 'upgrades' I would need to get the site I want. So in the end I decided to go back to blogger and have made a decent site. There are still a few things that I wished blogger had that wordpress did, but I am still happy with what I have.
Just a bit of tweaking and moving things around and I may be switching over to this site for my new portfolio site.

KickStart!
I decided this needed it's own post.
One of the freelance jobs I am working on is pitch for 3D Animated feature film done entirely on an indie budget. I am really excited to be a part of this and hope we can see it all the way through. Unfortunately with any great project we need the funding to do it, so a kickstarter campaign was started to try and raise some of what we need.
Besides just ability to pledge money the link below also has a cool video that explains the project better then I ever could, so why not check it out? And maybe pledge a few dollars if you are interested?

Updates and a new job...
Sorry I haven't been on in a while(again). I managed to get a new job as a cashier a Lowe's, a home improvement store if anyone has never heard of it, and also managed to snag a few freelance gigs which I am really excited about.
I don't know how much I am going to be able to update this blog with work since these are the first freelance gigs I have ever had and I don't quite know what I am allowed to show since I am under contract(probably nothing). So I will try and work on some things on the side if the work gets slow, but until then, wish me luck!

Tutorials
I have been busy over the past week trying to get the hang of the Blender interface. Its been a little difficult being as it is so different then either 3DS Max or Maya. I keep hearing how great the interface is but I have to say at the moment I am still a bit skeptical.
Anyways I don't have much to update with so I figured I would post some links to the tutorials I have been using that seemed like the most help. This goes beyond the blender tutorials and into other programs as well.

Updates...
I haven't posted in a while due to the job search. I haven't received many new leads in the past few weeks so I have been scouring the internet in search of new opportunities. At some point I lost track of my creative side and stopped doing anything actually productive. Hopefully that should be done with and I hope to get back into Modeling and maybe even looking some more into After Effects, (working on that quick demo reel reminded me how much I like editing and working in that program.).
In the mean time I have finally broken down and decided to look for a normal job such as being a waitress or cashier. I need to get out some more and eventually my funds are going to dry up if I don't earn a paycheck.
It's kinda disappointing, but it shouldn't stop me from doing what I love.

After Effects
Had an interview today with a company that wanted an Adobe After Effects freelancer, so I dug through all my files and put together a really quick demo reel of my stuff. A lot of it is old, and any of the live action footage isn't mine, it was given to me for the lesson(it was a college assignment).
I can't say it's that great of a reel, I definitely would want to update it. Will it get me the job? Probably not, but it's better then going in empty handed.
(I seem to be having technical difficulties with photobucket, and the video won't upload to blogspot either...I'll have to try and fix this.)

B. Coon

Sort of a raccoon beaver mix, hence the B. Coon title.
No luck in the job hunt so far...I get the feeling I may have to force myself into factory work again. I do not look forward to the 11hr 6 days a week schedule. I wind up so exhausted that even thinking seems tiring. So there probably won't be many updates if that happens.
Just have to keep trying I guess.
